Thank you for being part of our Career Day at Providence and sharing your experience and expertise with our students.
Career Day Details - Wednesday, March 16th
Please arrive at our Lilburn campus (directions) between 8:30 and 8:50 a.m. Feel free to park in any visitor parking spot on campus. Spots are very limited in front of the high school but there is plenty in front of the elementary/middle school building. Then proceed to the high school building for check-in (located to the left after entering the main entrance, look for the building with the "PROV" tower).
There will be coffee and pastries for you when you arrive. After checking in, receiving your nametag, and grabbing a drink/snack, someone will escort you to the classroom that has been assigned to you. There will be a teacher present in the classroom that can answer questions regarding your set up/presentation that you may have with you.
What to expect for the session time:
- Please feel free to use the PowerPoint template provided below.
- Feel free to bring handouts or business cards. We want the students to remember you (candy works well too.) Students will have a folder to put things in.
- Leave time for questions at the end.
- You may be partnered up during a session as we have 60 presenters signed up. We will let you know that as soon as we can.
Meet and Greet Time
During this time, all business partners will go to either the auditorium or the media center for a meet and greet time to allow our students to gain exposure to careers that they may not have signed up for. You will be stationed at a table labeled with your name and job title. We will let you know your table location when you check in that morning. There is more detailed information about the Meet and Greet in the schedule for the day link.
Using a Computer for Your Presentation?
Most classrooms are equipped to display audio and video to a projector via a USB-C cable or HDMI. Please bring your computer and any adaptors you may need to connect it.
NOTE: Masks are optional for students, staff, and visitors at Providence.
