Richard Price Hamilton Scholarship Fund

Richard Price Hamilton, 43, of Tucker, GA died on June 21, 2022. Richard was born on April 22, 1979 to Robert “Bobby” Hamilton and Vickie Stephenson Hamilton, little brother to Christy. Richard grew up in Snellville and graduated from South Gwinnett High School in 1997. Richard made many lifelong friends at South including his wife, Michelle. He grew up in Summit Chase where he played tennis and golf, threw parties, and may have been responsible for some damage to the golf course. Richard’s house was the place to be in high school, as Richard had a very large group of devoted friends and the most welcoming parents. In 2001, Richard graduated from the University of Georgia. He loved UGA and was a lifelong supporter of the Dawgs. Richard was a UGA football equipment manager and loved being on the field and traveling with the team in college. After college Richard became a financial advisor, working alongside his dad at Hamilton Financial. In 2018, Richard, Michelle and lifelong friend Andy Mercer took over the family business and were living the dream, working with their best friends every day.

Richard and Michelle were married in November 2003; they shared 18 years of marriage. Richard was the most amazing father to Ella, Vivy, and Price. Richard was a strong Christian and demonstrated the love of Jesus to his family. He loved spending time with his kids and was very involved in their activities. Richard was often at swim meets, cheer competitions, and t ball and softball games, cheering them on as their biggest fan.

To know Richard was to love him; he was everyone’s best friend and had dozens of friendships that lasted multiple decades. Richard loved to spend time with family and friends going on annual beach trips with his family, cruises, Disney World, and tailgating. He enjoyed campfires at night, playing poker, and watching the Braves, Falcons, Hawks, and Dawgs play. His infectious smile and laugh will forever be in the hearts of all who knew him.

Richard is survived by his parents Robert “Bobby” Hamilton and Vickie Stephenson Hamilton of Monroe, GA. His wife Michelle MacLeod Hamilton, children Ella Jane Hamilton (12), Vivian Elise Hamilton (10), and Richard Price Hamilton, Jr (6) of Tucker, GA. His sister Christa Hamilton Thomason (Travis) of Monroe, GA. Parents-in-law Steve and Mary Jane MacLeod of Grayson, GA. Sisters-in-law Ashley MacLeod Partain (Wayne) of Lilburn, GA and Janie MacLeod Churchey of Monroe, GA. Nephews and Nieces Matthew Thomason, Elaina Thomason, Mary Catherine Churchey, Matthew Churchey, and Lily Partain.

Lussi Memorial Fund (In memory of Shirley Lussi)

On October 22, 2021, Shirley Lussi, the wife of longtime Providence Director of Encouragement Lamar Lussi, passed away after a prolonged illness. They were married 67 years.

Since the school's founding in 1991, Shirley has been a constant support to Mr. Lussi as he's encouraged our students, parents, and alumni.
