Middle School Sideline Cheerleading
Team Overview
The Providence Athletic mission is to develop a first class athletic program committed to excellence while building Christian character. Therefore, the mission of the Providence cheerleader is to glorify God in service to the athletes by encouraging them, supporting the fans by leading them and representing the school throughout the community.
Team verse:“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him." Psalm 34:8
It is our prayer that each Providence cheerleader will:
- glorify God
- demonstrate a positive attitude toward the school, its’ rules, teachers, and Christian standards
- promote and uphold school spirit and demonstrate good sportsmanship
- develop discipline in individual lives and leadership skills
- exhibit maturity and attributes of a Christ-centered life
- demonstrate knowledge and ability of cheerleading
