Selective Studies at Providence
Learning Skills for Academic Success
- The Selective Studies program, at all grade levels, relies on a collaborative model requiring support from the school, the student and the parents.
- Students must demonstrate the potential to learn in a fast-paced college-prep curriculum. Students must meet the Admission Requirements of A/B average and no history of disciplinary issues. See application for detailed requirements here.
- Students who qualify typically range from average to gifted in intelligence but struggle with cognitive processing, memory or executive function deficits. Learning differences are as diverse as the students we serve.
- Teachers in Selective Studies understand the various neurodevelopmental profiles of students with mild to moderate learning differences and/or ADHD. Our program is not designed for students with social or behavioral deficits. Programs differ in the Elementary, Middle and High School.
