What are the benefits of the Hybrid Program?

The Hybrid Program offers students a flexible and tailored educational experience. It combines academic excellence and in-person interaction with the convenience of online learning.

Tuition for the Hybrid Program is $12,500 for the 2025–26 school year. Financial aid is not available for this program.

What type of student could thrive in this program?

Students who thrive in the Hybrid Program are well-organized, able to manage their schedules independently, and balance family and personal commitments. They should also possess strong online learning skills, communicate effectively with adults, and embrace the hybrid learning environment. Dual enrollment students must meet specific qualifications, including a minimum GPA and SAT/ACT scores.

What is the application process?

Applicants must complete an online application (the same as full-time students) and participate in two interviews: one with the student and school administrators, and another with the parents and school administrators. Families must also demonstrate alignment with the school's covenantal guidelines.

Hybrid Program

The Hybrid Program available at Providence Johns Creek provides a dynamic combination of in-person and flexible learning options, rooted in both academic excellence and Biblical truth. It is designed for students seeking a customized educational experience that balances traditional classroom instruction with online courses or dual enrollment.

Program Structure

On-Campus Courses

Hybrid students take at least four of their eight courses on campus, including:

Bible Class – Grounding students in God’s Word and fostering spiritual growth through study and reflection.
English – Strengthening communication and critical thinking through literature and composition.
Math – Building logical reasoning and problem-solving skills through a Biblical lens. (Geometry minimum for 9th grade)
Science – Encouraging curiosity about God’s creation through hands-on exploration and analysis.

Flexible Courses

Generally, each hybrid student is expected to earn at least seven credits each year. The remaining three courses are selected to meet each student’s individual needs and graduation requirements. Options include:

Online courses through accredited platforms
Dual enrollment at approved colleges
Elective classes on the Providence, Johns Creek, and Lilburn campuses.

Faith Integration and Community Participation

Hybrid students are fully integrated into the Providence community life:

Option to attend Wednesday seminar classes: (usually a favorite day of our hybrid students)

Attendance at Axis (student-led worship) weekly
Participation in the fall Encounter retreat
Engagement in fine arts, athletics, school social events, and co-curricular activities

This integration ensures students grow spiritually while pursuing academic excellence.

Academic Accountability and Rigor

Annual Course Mapping and Approval

Spring Planning: Students submit a Hybrid Learning Plan including course titles, syllabi, grading scales, and credit equivalencies.
Advisor Review: Initial review by the Hybrid Program Advisors, Mrs. Connie Coles and Mrs. Kay Lee
Leadership Approval: Final approval by the Academic Leadership Team.
Hybrid Learning Agreement signed by student, parents, advisor, and principal.

Approval Criteria:

Alignment with Providence Christian Academy’s mission, curriculum, and Biblical worldview
Provider accreditation (e.g., SACS, GAC, or equivalent)
Academic rigor and consistent grading standards
No content contrary to Biblical teaching

Progress Monitoring

Hybrid students participate in structured check-ins and evaluations to ensure academic success:

Bi-Weekly Check-Ins: Advisor meetings to discuss attendance, academic progress, workload, and support needs
Quarterly Progress Reviews: Review of attendance, grades, course engagement, and student reflections
Semester-End Evaluations: Submission of final grades and reflections on academic and spiritual growth

Documentation: All check-ins and evaluations are recorded in the student’s academic file. Parents are notified if progress is below expectations.

Guidelines for Online and Dual Enrollment Courses

Online Courses

Must be through accredited, vetted, and approved providers (e.g., Liberty University Online Academy, Georgia Virtual School, Truett McConnell University, Toccoa Falls College, etc.)
Must include a minimum of 90 instructional hours per semester for one credit
Providence must have access to grades or teacher reports.
Courses undergo a Biblical alignment review if the content is sensitive.

Dual Enrollment Courses

Students must meet eligibility requirements.
Providence must receive syllabi, grading policies, and official grade reports.

Hybrid Program Eligibility

To ensure students are prepared for the independence and rigor of our hybrid model, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Academic Average: GPA of 3.0.
Math Progression: Completion of (or current enrollment in) Geometry by the 9th-grade year.
Credits: Possession of adequate credits to graduate on time with their designated class.
Proficiency: Standardized test scores that demonstrate the ability to engage with rigorous content and manage independent coursework successfully.
