

Camp College: A Head Start on the College Admissions Process
Applying to college can feel overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be.
Camp College provides rising seniors with personalized guidance, practical tools, and expert advice to help them navigate the college admissions process with confidence. Students will leave with a clearer understanding of where to apply, how to strengthen their applications, and how to stay organized throughout the admissions season.
Who
To ensure our Seniors of Class of 2027 receive the support they need, registration will open in the following waves:
- Priority Access: Rising Providence 12th graders.
- Next - Providence 11th graders (as space allows).
- Extended Invitation: Homeschooled students and students from neighboring high schools (as space allows)

Student Services, principals, English and math teachers, and Athletic Department representatives are available throughout the sessions to support.

Cost
$150 – Providence students
$250 – Non-Providence students (homeschool, private school, or public school students)
Registration includes a college admissions handbook and access to college essay proofreading during the fall admissions season.
What Students Will Learn
Getting Started — Discover how to evaluate colleges, navigate college fairs and campus visits, and avoid common admissions misconceptions.
What Colleges Are Looking For — Understand the key factors colleges consider, including GPA, course rigor, extracurricular involvement, essays, recommendations, test scores, and interviews.
The Application Process — Learn how to complete applications effectively, communicate your story well, and manage deadlines with confidence.
Money Matters — Explore scholarship opportunities, financial aid resources, and Georgia's HOPE Scholarship program.
Preparing for College Life — Develop practical skills for success beyond high school, including time management, personal responsibility, self-advocacy, and spiritual growth.
