Middle School

5th through 7th Grade

Growing in Confidence, Relationships, and Learning

Let's face it. The middle school years can be challenging. Finding friends, fitting in, becoming more academically independent, and beginning to work out your faith are all part of this transitional time in life.

We have designed middle school to help students excel in all these areas, led by our outstanding faculty who don't just teach but build personal relationships with students. Curriculum, experiences, projects, worship, retreats, and more are all designed to be relevant to our students so they can see the purpose behind their learning and how God is part of it all.

In addition to rigorous academics, our middle school emphasizes organizational skills and relationship-building to help equip students for high school.

COMMUNITY IN MIDDLE SCHOOL

Building community in middle school is a big deal at Providence. Tribes are one way we do that. Each tribe (Cyclone, Fire, Ice, and Lightening) welcomes new students to be part of their community and, throughout the semester (along with having tons of fun), will compete to be the prize winner. How do you win the big prize? Compete to do the most good and get points for acts of kindness and service.

"Although I would love for all my students to pursue a career in science, that is not my end goal as a teacher. My passion for teaching science is giving students the tools and skill set for understanding the world that God has given us. I hope students can utilize the knowledge and skills they learned in my class in any aspect of their lives."

Jarron Gravesande, Middle School Science Teacher
