Spiritual Life in Grades K-3 and 4-7 at Providence Christian Academy
At Providence Christian Academy, spiritual growth is an integral part of who we are as a school. Praise, worship, studying God’s word is not simply something we “do”, it is how we learn “who we are” as individuals and what our role is in God’s plan.
Learning from God’s word begins in Kindergarten and is part of the daily instruction for all students through seventh grade. Age-appropriate topics and real-world connections help bring the Word to life. As students enter high school in the eighth grade, in-depth topical studies equip our students to make an impact in their world.
Wednesday mornings are designated for Chapel in grades K-3 and 4-7. This is a time of scripture, praise songs, and instruction from guests whose personal and public ministry serves as an example to our students. Each year, there is an over-arching theme for Chapel. Previous themes have included “The Fruit of the Spirit”, “The Best Question Ever”, and “The Amazing Race”. The 2011-12 theme will be “Once Upon a Time” and will highlight how God’s story is not a fairy tale, and in fact, has been steadfast and strong through all time!
