Providence Christian Academy offers students a wide
opportunity to explore and express their
passions through music, drama, and art. Our students in Kindergarten through Third grade are taught
art in primary settings where exploring and creating are the main focus. Music and movement, along with rhythm
and basic note reading via the Orff-Schulwart theory are part of the primary
student’s experience.
Each week, 4th
-7th grade students participate in art and music classes, with
Middle School students having the opportunity to enroll in band. After school activities for students in
grades 4-7 inlcude the STATIC art club and “Hosannah !” which is a blend of chorus and percussion
instruments. Each year students in
Fourth through Seventh grade may audition for the fall or spring drama. The Elementary Drama department is crazy for redheads this year! Look for information about the upcoming Fall Production of "Anne of Green Gables", and the Spring Musical: "Annie JR".
Along with these opportunities, all of our students
participate in the annual Oratorical Recital. This event focuses on stage presence, creative
interpretation, and public speaking.
All of these offerings are part of the process we engage in
as we help our students discover how our Lord has gifted them and how each
student can use their gift to impact their world for Him.
