The dress of a student at Providence should show respect for personal
appearance, the school, the learning process, and our Creator. Although a
person’s spirituality cannot be measured by his or her dress, we do believe
personal appearance is important in establishing the proper atmosphere for the
learning process, and for worshiping our Lord and Savior.
We hope the dress code, and approved uniform options from Buckhead Uniforms,
will assist the learning process, give our students the opportunity to make
responsible decisions within the guidelines, and promote a desire to please God
in our appearance.
The dress code is a joint venture between students, faculty and parents. Much
cooperation is required. The primary responsibility for student appearance is
the family. A cooperative relationship must be maintained so the school will be
free to provide a Christ-centered education.
The specific requirements of the dress code apply during school class hours
from 8:00 a.m. – 3:05 p.m. Before and after school the spirit and tone of the
code still apply, although the specific requirements change as students prepare
for extra-curricular activities. Dress Code for spectators/participants of
after-school events shall be appropriate and in good taste.
