The Literary Guild is a reading enrichment program designed to encourage
the reading of a wide variety of literature for grades 5-7. It is a voluntary program
in which the student reads from a list, and takes accountability tests on the books
that are read. The lists have recently been revised and links are included here
for your convenience.
Scholastic Reading Counts is a voluntary, nationally recognized reading incentive
program for younger students in which they read books from a list and take short
quizzes to test their comprehension. They receive instant feedback when they take
the computer-generated quizzes, including rewarding points and congratulations screens.
